This Vintage Ethiopian Carved Cup is a masterful example of East African functional art, hand-hewn from a single piece of indigenous hardwood. The cup features a robust, rounded body supported by a tapered pedestal base, a silhouette that is both stable and elegant. The exterior is adorned with intricate geometric engravings that reflect the rich decorative traditions of the Ethiopian highlands.

• Zonal Carvings: The body is divided by horizontal bands, with the central section featuring rhythmic, vertical and diagonal hatched lines that create a textured, non-slip grip.
